HAMPTON, GA - Southern States, LLC. is the proud recipient of Entergy's Transmission Supplier Chain Leader Award for the year 2001. The award was conferred by Entergy at their May 1-2, 2002 Supplier Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Supply Chain Leader Award acknowledges a proactive approach to Entergy account support and service. Southern States is credited for helping to manage lead times, streamline processes, outsourcing manufacturing, and offering time saving solutions.
"Entergy wishes to recognize Southern States as a key supplier that performs beyond the normal expectations associated with the role of supplier", said Douglas Mader, Director of Engineering, Management, and Capital Construction. "In an industry marked with rapid growth", continued Mader, "Southern States and Preferred Sales Agency, their manufacturer's representative, worked closely with Entergy to achieve on-time delivery of air disconnect switches for capital projects. These critical deliveries included product awarded to Southern States under our 2001 strategic sourcing agreement, plus a significant amount of equipment moved to Southern States after another supplier was unable to maintain agreed upon schedules. "Southern States was at capacity, much like every switch manufacturer in the country, when the additional requirements were negotiated."
In acceptance, President and CEO of Southern States Raj Anand stated, "Customers are the measure of our success. It is an honor to be recognized for our value to Entergy in meeting their objectives".
